Dr. Angie Achorn and colleagues recently published a peer-reviewed article in the scientific journal, American Journal of Biological Anthropology, about the meat sharing behavior of Fongoli chimpanzees. While mothers shared with their offspring most, reciprocal meat sharing also explained the patterns recorded at this Senegal site. Meat owners were more likely to share with chimpanzees that they in turn would be shared meat from. You can check out the article via this link
